Charlotte-Based Duke Energy Names New CEO

Duke Energy has announced Harry Sideris as its next president and CEO, effective April 1.
He will take over from Lynn Good, who is retiring after more than 20 years with the company.
Sideris, a 29-year veteran of Duke Energy, has been serving as president since April 2024. With Duke Energy, he has handled everything from customer service to power plant operations.
The board expressed strong confidence in Sideris’ leadership, emphasizing his ability to guide the company through continued growth and evolving customer needs.
Sideris shared his appreciation for the opportunity and praised Good’s leadership and impact on the company.
The company also named Ted Carver as the independent chair of the board of directors. Craver previously led Edison International, another major power company.
