Born and raised in tiny Winnfield, LA. It’s in the central part of the state.

Attended Louisiana Tech University on a Theatre Scholarship after turning down a football scholarship. My dad didn’t speak to me for a while after that decision.

Left LA Tech after 2 years to take a position as Purchasing Agent for a lumber company and to do stand-up comedy.

I got my first job in radio in 1991 and never looked back.

We started The Ace & TJ Show in 1993, with stints in Alexandria, LA, Baton Rouge, Huntsville, AL, Birmingham, and then Charlotte, where I’ve been for 26 years.

We started at KISS 95.1 and were there for 13 years.

Next we signed with Channel 96.1 which changed to Hits 96.1. We were there for 10 years

I’ve been part of a syndicated morning show for over 20 years.

At the end of 2024 the show changed from The Ace & TJ Show to The TJ & Riggins Show and remains a syndicated morning show and now a podcast.

I’ve also done a podcast with my wife for about 4 years. It’s called TJ & Jodi’s House. We give people a behind the scenes look at the dynamic of our relationship. It’s also an opportunity for me to show the world how funny, smart, and pretty my wife is.

We have two adult kids. Our daughter’s name is Lanie and we just call our son, “Boy”. His real name is Aiden though. Lanie is 24 and Boy is 21.

Oh, Jodi and I have been married for 30 years.
